Series mB/CV

This design, based on the tension/expansion concept, uses a ball
as an expanding element and an expansion sleeve. Especially
suitable for high pressure (MB and CV max up to 450 bar) and
base materials with low to medium hardness.

Pull-type expanders

44 – 51

Series SK

The tension/expansion concept of the SK series causes breaking
off of the expanding element after reaching the predetermined
force. These are particularly suitable for use in light metals, high
pressure applications (up to max 500 bar), and also for bore holes
with a smoother surface finish.

52 – 61

Series HK

The HK series KOENIG-ExPANDER

®

plugs are specifically

designed for use in hard materials. They use the tension/expansion
concept and are suitable for pressures up to max 350 bar.

62 – 69

Series LK

The LK Series KOENIG-ExPANDER

®

plugs are ideal for lower

pressures (max 60 bar) and use the tension/expansion concept.
After reaching the predetermined force, the expanding element
automatically breaks off at the predetermined breaking point.

Low-pressure expanders

Series LP

The press fit and anchoring concept of the LP series makes use of
a conical press-in sleeve. During installation, this adapts to the
bore, and the outer serration bites into the bore wall. Particularly
suitable for lower pressures (max 60 bar).

KOENIG-RESTRICTOR

orifices are classified into threaded and

expander type restrictors. Both styles manage flow control and are
currently used in various applications such as automotive powertrain,

Hydropneumatic setting tool for the installation of KOENIG-
EXPANDER

®

series MB from D3–10 mm (.093"–.375" inch).

Quick tool change avoids long changeover times. The required
working stroke is preprogrammed and can be retrieved by the
Expander type to be processed (max. 32 memory locations). In
addition, the working stroke is referenced for each individual
Expander, which guarantees high process stability and quality.
The press is force and distance controlled; an RS232 interface
can be used to trace corresponding data on the customer’s
computer for later processing. The required software is
included in the scope of delivery.

Hydropneumatic setting tool for the installation of KOENIG-
EXPANDER

®

series CV from D3–10 mm (.093"–.375" inch).

Quick tool change avoids long changeover times. The required
working stroke is preprogrammed and can be retrieved by the
Expander type to be processed (max. 32 memory locations). In
addition, the working stroke is referenced for each individual
Expander, which guarantees high process stability and quality.
The press is force and distance controlled; an RS232 interface
can be used to trace corresponding data on the customer’s
computer for later processing. The required software is
included in the scope of delivery.
